tegos GmbH runs on B2Run Dortmund

Dortmund, 06.26.2012, 19.20 o‘clock. Along 7,500 other runners, 18 colleagues from the tegos team wait outside Signal Iduna Park for the kick off to their first joint event run: B2Run, the company run. Dortmund is the second station of the German Company Run Championship in eight German cities, whose finale will be held on 05.09.2012 in Berlin’s OlympicStadium. In Dortmund, the fastest men and women and their team captains can qualify for this finale in Berlin.

Our runners do not run for Berlin, but the shared fun or for some even the improvement of their own running time. Some of the participants never considered running before.

Berlin is not the stated objective of our runners, but the joint fun for some and for some the improvement of their own time. There are participants who do not consider “running” before. In recent weeks, the team had prepared for this race together in both a run and a walking group. Now they want it to start.

19.30 o’clock. Finally, the starting signal is given, the crowd starts moving. Passing the parking area of theWestfalenhallen near the subway, they run through the Westfalenpark. Everybody is moving easily it seems until they reach a long, apparently never ending uphill grade. Everybody is struggling now. After the next turn horizon points to the stadium. There we want to go. Passing the spectators, the drums, the water and the bananas. Once again, we speed up, then we pass the finish. After 26 minutes and 59 seconds the first teammate crosses the line. One by one, the other 17 teammates pass the finishline in the stadium, too. Everyone has made it and is proud of what he has accomplished – a great feeling and a great team. We look forward to repeating this next year!
